Kids dress up for 66th annual Doll & Pet Parade

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- Explorers and settlers of the American wilderness took to the streets in the 66th annual doll and pet parade in Eau Claire.

Children of all ages braved the weather and held onto their hats while marching down Water Street all dressed up.

Some got extra creative and built canoes and carriages and marched alongside their pets in the traditional parade.

Despite the rain and wind, kids and their families put on a smile and showed off their costumes in hopes of winning a prize for best themed costume.

WEAU’s Jenny You helped judge the parade.
