ASHLAND, Wis. (AP) -- Democratic challenger Pat Kreitlow faces an uphill battle as he tries to unseat freshman Rep. Sean Duffy in Wisconsin's 7th Congressional District.
Duffy has raised about twice as much money, and has more than five times the cash on hand in the final days of the campaign.
Campaign reports filed this week show Kreitlow raised $87,000 between Oct. 1 and Oct. 17. He brought in $1.2 million for the election cycle, and has $117,000 in the bank as of last week.
Duffy, meanwhile, raised $151,000 in the first part of October. He raised $2.4 million overall, and enters the final two weeks of the campaign with just over $650,000 in the bank.
Duffy is a former special prosecutor and district attorney of Ashland County. Kreitlow is a former state senator.
