La Crosse Interstate Fair underway

WEST SALEM, Wis. (WEAU) -- An area event that's been going on for more than a century is underway.

Friday marks the third day of the 124th annual La Crosse Interstate Fair.

It's held at the fairgrounds on County Road M in West Salem, and is put on by the La Crosse County Agriculture Society.

The event features food, rides and farm animals.

This year also marks the 100th year of 4-H in Wisconsin.

Organizers said there's a lot to look forward to at the fair.

“We are a family friendly event and we aim to please and there's something for everyone so come on out,” said Marla Stello, fair secretary, La Crosse County Agriculture Society.

The fair runs until Sunday.

Admission and parking are free.
