SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - A La Crosse man faces federal sex trafficking charges in Utah for allegedly forcing four women to travel across several states for prostitution.

34-year-old Ontario Lowery pleaded not guilty to nine counts in U.S. District Court.

Prosecutors say that among other things, Lowery and his accomplice forced two women to travel between several states to engage in prostitution in July 2011.

The criminal complaint says a 17-year-old female accomplice from La Crosse was also charged. Police are still looking for her.
