LA CROSSE, Wis. (WEAU) -- The mayor of one area city is sporting a new look.
La Crosse Mayor Tim Kabat had his head shaved at city hall Monday afternoon.
That’s because city employees pledged more than $14,000 to support the United Way, which was nearly $2,500 more than last year.
Kabat’s head was shaved by Tease Barbershop and Salon owner April Landwehr who has been cutting his hair for a couple of years.
He’s said having head his head shaved was worth it to support the united way.
“I was very glad and very happy to just do my small part in helping to promote our employees contributions, and I was so glad that they responded,” said Kabat.
Kabat said his wife bought him a stocking cap in preparation for this.
