LA CROSSE, Wis. (WEAU) -- Sometimes it can be hard to stick with our health and fitness goals, but an area health department said it’s here to help.

The La Crosse County Health Department’s third annual Biggest Health Challenge-La Crosse is underway.

It’s open to anyone 18 or older.

You can register for free, which includes weigh-ins, fitness sessions and nutrition sessions.

You can also pay a $10 fee which includes all of the benefits of a free registration, but you’re also entered into a weight loss challenge.

The top winners in the paid challenge will get a free one year membership to the YMCA, if they aren’t already members.

You’re also eligible for a chance to win cash prizes if you attend at least five weigh-ins.

“While there’s a component that deals with the weight loss, our focus is really showing how nutrition and physical activity can be easy, even for the busy person,” said La Crosse County Health Department registered dietitian Jennifer Miller.

The deadline to register for the free challenge is Friday.

The deadline to register for the paid challenge is Thursday.

The Biggest Health Challenge runs until April 4.

If you’d like to participate you can contact the La Crosse County Health Department 608-785-9831 or sign up online.
