La Crosse puts burning ban in place

(WEAU) - With the high temperatures and dry weather, the City of La Crosse now has a burning ban within the city limits.

That means no fire pits or open burning, and with Independence Day coming up, people cannot shoot off consumer fireworks. This does not affect outdoor grilling or fires at state and federal campgrounds and the Fourth of July fireworks will go on as planned at Riverside Park.
