HOLCOMBE, WIsc. (WEAU) -- The Lake Holcombe community is getting closer to its goal of raising $300,000 to make several repairs throughout the high school after a failed November referendum.
The PRIDE committee met Thursday evening in Holcombe. Spokesperson Bruce Anderson says those in attendance voted to partner with the Community Foundation of Chippewa County.
Anderson says the committee is working on its immediate goal of raising $20,000 and says they've already raised about a quarter of that. The money will go towards updating the high school science room and replacing the bleachers and curtains in the gymnasium.
If you would like to help donate to the Lake Holcombe School District you can make checks out to the Community Foundation of Chippewa County and send them to PO Box: 153, Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin 54729.
