Left lane of 53 Bypass re-opens after pavement buckles in Lake Hallie

LAKE HALLIE, Wis.(WEAU) -- A lane of the 53 Bypass north in Lake Hallie is open again after the pavement buckled there Thursday afternoon.

The Wisconsin State Patrol said all lanes of the freeway were open as of about 5:10 p.m. Thursday. The pavement buckled around 3:20 p.m. Crews shut down the left lane of the freeway as they fixed the problem.

Traffic backed up to the River Prairie Drive area in Altoona while the lane was closed.
