NEW INFORMATION: Driver ticketed after Eau Claire traffic crash

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- A pickup truck driver was ticketed for not yielding the right of way in a traffic crash on Monday.

It happened at the intersection of S. Hastings Way and Brackett Avenue in Eau Claire. Eau Claire police say a car was going south on S. Hastings Way, and had a green light to go through the intersection. The pickup was going north on S. Hastings Way, and trying to go left on Brackett through a flashing yellow light. When the pickup started to turn, the car hit the pickup.

Officers say there were minor injuries in the crash.

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) --Crews shut down a left turn lane on S. Hastings Way as they investigated a traffic crash.

It happened around 12:15 p.m. at the intersection of S. Hastings Way and Brackett Avenue in Eau Claire. A car with front-end damage could be seen at the intersection as police and rescue crews responded to the wreck. An ambulance was at the scene. Orange cones were set up in the left turn lane going from S. Hastings Way north to Brackett Avenue west. An officer later removed the cones after blocking the lane with a squad car. The lane was later re-opened.

Eau Claire police could not confirm further details Monday afternoon.
