Lightning causes fire at Onalaska Walmart

ONALASKA, Wis— Walmart Supercenter in Onalaska is back open after a fire closed the store for several hours Saturday morning. Onalaska Fire Department says they were called to Walmart just before 11 am for a report of a fire. Crews evacuated the store shortly after arriving.

Firefighters say the fire started on the roof in the back of the store. Crews say lightning is believed to be the cause. The fire was put out quickly and no one was hurt. Crews say some items in the back room of the store were damaged in the fire. Walmart reopened Saturday afternoon.
