Lightning causes problems in eastern Wisconsin

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Lightning is causing power outages in eastern Wisconsin.

Wisconsin Public Service reports that more than 3,300 people are without power in eastern Wisconsin -- mostly in Green Bay, Chilton and Oshkosh.

WPS spokesman Kerry Spees says the peak of the outages was at 3,600 around 5:30 a.m. Monday as the thunderstorms finished rolling in. He says crews were working on the getting customers restored and he expected them to be done later Monday morning.
