EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) - Thousands of lights were hung Wednesday on a tree to honor those living with Alzheimer's in Eau Claire County.
Nearly 2,000 purple lights were hung on the Memory Tree outside the Azura Memory Care building in Eau Claire. They honor the people in the county dealing with the disease. The lights will be on display every night from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. during the entire month of November.
Blue, red, and white light bulbs can be reserved for $5 by the public to honor a loved one touched by Alzheimer's Disease or Dementia.
Those lights will be put up during the tree lighting and candle light vigil on November 14th.
