EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) – A classic turkey meal was served on Christmas day for anyone and everyone at the First Lutheran Church in Eau Claire.
It was the church’s fourth annual event, feeding those who not only needed somewhere to eat lunch on Christmas day but also those who simply wanted to enjoy Christmas day surrounded by others in the community.
Dozens of volunteers filled the kitchen, preparing turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans and all the fixing.
Organizers say around 70 cold dinners were also delivered to those who couldn’t make it out to the church. People who needed a ride to the morning church service following the big snowfall were also given rides thanks to volunteers.
