Local food distributor recognized for economic impact

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) A local company has been recognized for its positive economic impact in the area.

Friday, Indianhead Foodservice Distributor Inc. received the 2014 Paragon Economic Impact Award.

Indianhead Foodservice delivers eight million pounds of wholesale food a month to a variety of industries including schools, restaurants and healthcare facilities.

"I think it speaks to the value system in Eau Claire, but it also speaks to the mission for the company, and vision of the company. It's something people can believe in and follow," says Tom Gillett, IFD Chair.

Indianhead Foodservice says it has a five-year plan, the goal of which is to satisfy its customers.

The company employs 175 full-time staff.
