Local seniors head back to school

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) Seniors around the area had the chance to head back to school for a day of learning and fun.

The 26th Annual Senior Americans Day was held Tuesday at the Davies Center on UW-Eau Claire's campus.

The event featured workshops and seminars on a number of topics including technology, wellness and retirement.

"It's a great day to really dispell the myths of aging and really promote the positive aspects of aging," explains committee chair Lisa Wells.

More than 500 people registred for the all day event that featured more than 70 exhibitors.
