Local teen chef returns to alma mater to share experiences

EAU CLAIRE, WIS. (WEAU) - A local teenage chef celebrity stopped at his alma mater on Monday to give a taste of his success and how others can achieve the same.

You may have seen 18-year old Joe Luginbill featured on WEAU or watched his videos on Youtube.

Fame rose fast for the 18-year old just months ago.

He was set for UW-Stout, but after gaining popularity from his homemade cooking videos he set a new path.

Monday Luginbill returned to North high school just a few months after graduating to pass on what he's learned.

He says he hopes his story can inspire students to believe in themselves and to live with no regret.

"What is your passion? What makes you happy? Because what's the point of doing something for your whole life if it’s not something you're passionate about? If it’s not something that gets the fire in your belly going and gets a smile on your face every morning because that's what you know you're going to go to work to do, " Luginbill said.

Right now Joe says he's working with people on a possible TV show next year, and planning out a cookbook for the future.
