Lorman Education Services to lay off 42 workers

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU)-- Lorman Education Services is laying off 42 employees in Eau Claire.

In a letter to the Department of Workforce Development, Lorman said the layoffs are permanent and will go into effect on October 6th. The workers were told about the layoffs last week and will continue to be paid until the layoff date.

The company says the layoffs are due to changing business circumstances and said it will be reassigning other job duties as the workload changes.
