EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- One of the suspects accused of stealing a $10,000 lottery ticket in August 2013 has pleaded not guilty.

Court records show Justin Brummond, 28, of Eau Claire entered the plea on Thursday. Brummond, Kimberly Strand, and James Shafer are all charged with Theft in the case. A criminal complaint says they all tried to claim the ticket, which belonged to another Eau Claire man.

Shafer reached a deferred agreement earlier this week. Strand is due in court for an arraignment next month.
