EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (EAU CLAIRE COUNTY NEWS RELEASE) -- Effective April 25, 2014, Lowes Creek County Park Mountain Bike Trails will be re-opened after the spring thaw. Many trees/limbs came down as a result of the recent snowstorms and some trails will remain closed (and marked as such) to allow additional drying time. Users are also reminded to limit their use of the trails when it is raining or has recently rained.

Saturday, May 3, 2014, a mountain bike trail clean-up, hosted by the Chippewa Off-Road Bicycle Association (CORBA), will be held beginning at 8 a.m. until 11am. Anyone interested in helping is welcome to help out on the trails. The location will be the west parking lot on S. Lowes Creek Road.

Any questions regarding this press release can be directed to the Parks & Forest Department at (715) 839-4783.
