(WEAU) - Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch was in Eau Claire Thursday to talk to small business owners about their concerns.
She held a special round table at Banbury Place where she met with a number of small business owners and city leaders. The lieutenant governor says the primary problem for small business owners in Wisconsin is dealing with economic uncertainty, and she says the state has taken steps to remedy that problem.
Kleefisch told us Thursday “Wisconsin has created a stable and a certain economic environment because the governor did a budget without raising taxes, while S&P is downgrading our federal credit rating, Moodys says Wisconsin's budget is credit positive."
Kleefisch also says many jobs are open because many unemployed workers lack the skills to fill those jobs, and training those workers will be a priority.
