Man accused of beating and holding woman against her will

RICE LAKE, Wis. (WEAU)-- A Rice Lake man is arrested for beating and holding a woman against her will.

25-year-old Nicholas Trinidad is being held in the Barron County jail for possible charges including substantial battery.

The Rice Lake Police Department says on Tuesday night, a woman was found hiding in a cooler at a convenience store. When officers got there, the woman told them her live-in boyfriend kept her in the apartment for several days and beat her numerous times.

Officers then surrounded Trinidad's apartment and he was arrested.
The woman was taken to the hospital and treated for her injuries.
