RICE LAKE, Wis. (WEAU) -- A man is accused of pointing a gun at the woman he lives with and threatening to kill her.

Court records show that prosecutors filed a felony charge of First-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety against Chad Studier, 34, of Rice Lake on Thursday. A judge set bond at $500 cash.

A criminal complaint says Rice Lake Police responded to a home on Kern Avenue on a report of a possible domestic incident on Wednesday. The woman told an officer Studier had been drinking and wanted to go to Eau Claire, but that she told him he couldn't. She says he got a handgun, threatened to kill her, and pointed the gun at her, demanding that she give him her car keys. When he went outside, she called police. She says her daughter was at the home while it happened.

Officers arrested Studier, and did a preliminary breath test, which came back at .09 percent. He is scheduled to be back in court on February 10.
