NEW INFORMATION: Bond set for man accused of killing girlfriend

(WEAU) - Bond has been set at $250,000 for a man accused of killing his girlfriend in Adams County.

Coleman Dybul, 28, is expected to be charged with first degree reckless homicide. The Adams County Sheriff's Department says Dybul, a decorated marine, called police early Sunday morning.

He claimed he had accidentally shot his girlfriend, Toni Voss, 27, with a shotgun he kept by the bed, after she startled him. Voss was pronounced dead at the scene.

Dybul will return to court March 11th.


ADAMS, Wis. (WEAU) – The Adams County Sheriff’s Office says it has arrested 28-year-old Coleman Dybul of Adams early Saturday morning for 1st degree reckless homicide.

Deputies say they were called to 117 N. Elm in Adams at 1:48 a.m. Saturday.

Dybul allegedly told dispatchers that he was asleep in bed when his girlfriend startled him and he shot her with a shot gun that he kept near the bed.

His girlfriend has been identified as 27-year-old Toni Voss of Adams.
Voss was fatally shot and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Adams County Medical Examiner.

A young child was also in the residence at the time of the incident and was unharmed.

This case is still under investigation.
