Man arrested after getting hit by train

(WEAU) - A man is arrested after deputies say he tried to beat a train but ended up getting hit.

It happened just before 3 a.m. on Arm Road in the Town of Lincoln, north of Tomah. Railroad employees told deputies the truck drove through a stop sign at the railroad crossing.

The train hit the side of the truck and it rolled. The driver and his two passengers ran out of the truck and got in another vehicle that was with them.

Deputies were eventually able to find the driver, Tyler D. Betthauser, 22, of Tomah. He was treated for injuries and arrested.
