BLACK RIVER FALLS, Wis. (WEAU)-- A 47-year-old Black River Falls man has been arrested for driving drunk with a child in the car.
The Wisconsin State Patrol says Lance Rave was arrested Wednesday afternoon in Black River Falls. A trooper went to assist Rave, who had locked his keys in the car and had a two-year-old child inside. The trooper smelled alcohol on Rave and saw open containers of alcoholic beverages inside the car.
Rave was arrested and taken to the Jackson County jail. The child was released to family members.

A Wisconsin State Trooper responded to assist a driver who had locked the keys to his car and a 2 year-old child inside of his vehicle. The vehicle was located in the City of Black River Falls.
Upon arrival, the Trooper met with the driver of the car, 47 year old Lance D. Rave, from Black River Falls.
During the contact, the Trooper detected the odor of intoxicants on the driver and observed open containers of alcoholic beverages inside of the vehicle.
The Trooper administered Standardized Field Sobriety Tests on Rave. These tests resulted in the arrest of Rave for Operating While
Intoxicated 1st Offense with a child less than 16 years of age in the vehicle.
During the investigation it was learned that earlier in the day during a separate incident, Rave had ran his vehicle off of the roadway and become stuck in ditch.
Rave was turned over to the custody of the Jackson County Sheriffs Department Jail Staff following the arrest.
The child was released to responsible family members.
