Amery, Wi. -- A Balsam Lake man has been arrested for driving under the influence with a child in the car.
33 year-old Ethan D. Gustafson was arrested by the Wisconsin
State Patrol for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 4th offense, with one child in the vehicle.
On Tuesday morning, around 10:44 a.m. a trooper received a report
of an intoxicated male driver in a red pick-up truck with a child in the car leaving the Amery Hospital.
The trooper found the car in a parking lot nearby and identified the driver as Ethan D. Gustafson.
Subsequent field sobriety tests led to Gustafson's arrest for OWI-4th Offense with a minor child.
Gustafson submitted to an evidentiary blood test and is lodged in the Polk County Jail pending an initial appearance.
Gustafson was also charged with OAR- operating after revocation 3rd offense, and felony bail jumping.
The child was turned over to a responsible adult.
