Man arrested for driving the wrong way on the interstate

SPARTA, Wis. (WEAU)--Sparta Police arrested a man for suspected OWI after he was driving the wrong way on the interstate.

Officers say they arrested 28-year-old Matthew Guhrs of Wisconsin Dells after midnight Tuesday. They say Gurhs was driving for at least 10 miles eastbound in the westbound lane of Interstate 90 when he was stopped near Sparta.

He was arrested on suspicion of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and cited for reckless driving.
