DURAND, Wis. (WEAU) -- Officers say the subject of a chase through Durand was drunk at the time.

Police arrested Daniel Tlusty, 30, on Sunday. Durand police say an officer caught Tlusty speeding, and tried to catch up with him. That's when he went through a red light at U.S. Highway 10 and State Highway 85. The officer chased him, reaching speeds of more than 80 miles-per-hour. Tlusty ended up crashing his vehicle at highway 85 and Supri Lane. After he ran into the woods, police tracked him in the snow to a home in the Whispering Pines Trailer Court. Investigators say he got into the shed area of a home, and was then arrested.

Officers say Tlusty also had illegal prescription medicine. He's accused of fourth-offense OWI. No criminal charges have been filed.
