BLOOMER, Wis. (WEAU)-- One of the men accused of beating up a Bloomer business owner appeared in Chippewa County Court Friday.

District Attorney Steve Gibbs says 21-year-old Andre Demers, of Chippewa Falls, pleaded no contest to 2nd degree reckless endangering safety and battery. Two other charges were dismissed but read-in.

Demers and 21-year-old Nicolas Blisard are accused of attacking Main Street Cafe Owner, Donnie Stoik, in March.

Stoik says Blisard, who pleaded guilty in court Wednesday, was a former employee of his but was fired months before the attack.
