Man charged with possession of meth and other charges gets probation

BARRON, Wis. (WEAU)-- A man charged with leading officers on a chase was ordered to serve three years of probation.

A judge handed down the sentence in Barron County court Tuesday for 43-year-old Micheal Hess. In November, Hess pleaded guilty to charges of trying to flee an officer, OWI and possession of meth.

Police say they pulled Hess over in July for broken tail lights and he took off running. Officers caught him after a chase through yards and some woods. They found a bag of meth at the scene.
