NEW INFORMATION: Man bound over for trial in stabbing case

BARRON, Wis. (WEAU) - A man accused of stabbing his estranged wife's boyfriend was bound over for trial on Monday.

Sean Mason, 27, of Rice Lake also pleaded not guilty to one count of aggravated battery. According to the criminal complaint, Mason admitted to stabbing the man with a folding knife but said it was in self-defense after the man pointed a gun at him.

The complaint says officers searched the man and his home, but didn't find a gun.

Mason was taken to the Barron County Jail.
