Man charged with threatening to blow up courthouse

(WEAU) - An Eau Claire man is charged with threatening to blow up the Eau Claire County Courthouse.

The criminal complaint says on December 18th, Justin Woody called police saying there was a bomb that was set to go off in 10 minutes. He then called back using a device to distort his voice, and began counting down when the bomb was going to go off.

No bomb was ever found.

In March, officers were called to a home on Fairfax Street on a report of another bomb threat. They say Woody recently moved to that area, and when they interviewed him, he admitted to making the calls.
