Man crashes truck into home, arrested for 5th OWI

PIGEON FALLS, Wis. (WEAU) -- A man is arrested after he crashed his truck into the side of a house in Trempealeau County.

It happened just before 11 p.m. Monday at a home at 13149 Church Street in the Village of Pigeon Falls.

Trempealeau County deputies say the driver, Mitchell Hanevold, crashed the truck he was driving into the side of the home.

A person in the home was hit by a dresser drawer while he was lying in bed. He had minor injuries and wasn't taken to the hospital.

Deputies say Hanevold was taken to the hospital for lacerations to his nose and above his left eye.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.

Hanevold was arrested for felony operating while intoxicated 5th offense, causing injury.
