DUNN COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU)--An Illinois man has pleaded guilty in connection with a crash that killed a semi driver on I-94 last year.
The Dunn County District Attorney's Office says Destry Wilson pleaded guilty Wednesday to one count of homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle. Two other charges were dismissed.
Wilson was accused of smoking 'spice', a synthetic marijuana, before the crash last August but the D.A.'s office says test results did not show anything in his system at the time of the crash.
43 year-old Brian Paglusch of Minnesota was killed. Troopers say Paglusch was driving his semi on I-94 when he rear-ended Wilson's semi, causing a fire between both vehicles. Witnesses say Wilson's semi was stopped in the right lane when he was hit.
