Man pleads not guilty in connection with deadly crash on Clairemont Ave.
Eau Claire, Wis. (WEAU) -- An Eau Claire man pleaded not guilty Wednesday in connection with a deadly crash on Clairemont Avenue this summer.
35-year-old Travis Hazelton faces 11 charges including nine felonies, including homicide by drunk driving, reckless driving, and driving while under the influence.
Hazelton is accused of driving drunk on July 20th and slamming the van he was driving into five stopped cars at the intersection of Clairemont Avenue and Cameron Street.
26-year-old Jesse Shreiner, who was riding with Hazelton, was killed in the crash and five others were hurt.
