Man pleads not guilty to threatening woman at gunpoint

(WEAU) - A man accused of threatening his ex-girlfriend at gunpoint pleaded not guilty Tuesday.

Adam Loew, 31, appeared in Chippewa County court Tuesday morning. Deputies say in June, he broke into his ex-girlfriend's home and pointed a gun at her and her boyfriend.

The man tried to get the gun away from Loew and it went off. The shot went through a wall where a child was sleeping but the child was not hurt.

Deputies say Loew then took off, but was later found near Bloomer.
