EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU)-- The man accused of killing a teenager in 2012 will serve jail time.

Online court records show 21-year-old Doua Vang pleaded guilty in Eau Claire County court to aggravated battery. He also pleaded guilty to homicide by negligent handling of a dangerous weapon, but that was deferred.

Vang is accused of killing 17-year-old Bobbie Vue at an apartment in Eau Claire in October 2012. According to the criminal complaint, Vang admitted to stabbing Vue with a knife because he said Vue was punching his brother.

On Friday, Vang was ordered to serve three years of probation and six months in jail.

Four other people were also charged in connection to the fight.
