Man sentenced to prison in bank robbery case

(WEAU) - A man convicted of robbing a bank in Pierce County has been sentenced to prison.

Denton Ewers, 49, was sentenced to 18 months in jail and 18 months extended supervision. He pleaded guilty to robbery with threat of force in august.

The sheriff's department says Ewers robbed the First Bank of Baldwin - Plum City branch last year.

Deputies say after he got away with some money, they were able to track down his vehicle and arrested him for the robbery as well as OWI.
