(WEAU) - A Consumer Report gives good ratings to Wisconsin’s top 19 medical groups.
ThedaCare physicians ranked highest with a score of 87 out of 100. Marshfield Clinic was second, with a score of 83.
The medical groups, which typically include several practice sites and dozens of physicians, were rated on 7 key measures of care. All 19 groups ranked at or above the national average.
Marshfield Clinic Medical Director Dr. Bill Barkley says he hopes it shows patients the high quality of care the system offers. “We're working very hard on patient’s behalf to try to continue to really improve the quality of care that we provide and also to bring costs down at the same time."
Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire scored a 61. The national average is 50.
