Marshfield police looking for hit and run suspect

MARSHFIELD, Wis. (RELEASE) -- The Marshfield Police Department is investigating a traffic accident where a person in a wheelchair was struck by a vehicle near the intersection of North Peach Avenue and Waushara Drive at 7:30 Friday night.

The striking vehicle did not remain on scene for the investigation.

Witnesses describe the vehicle as an older, white, small to mid-sized sedan. They further reported it may have been a four door vehicle with the letters "G" and "E" in the license plate.

It is unknown if any damage was caused to the front passenger side of this vehicle. Given the circumstances of this report, the actual vehicle involved may, or may not, meet all of these criteria.

The Marshfield Police are asking for your assistance in locating this vehicle and the person who was driving it to investigate the circumstances of the accident.

the person struck by the vehicle was transported by the Marshfield Fire and Rescue Department to St. Joseph's Hospital.
