SPARTA, Wis. (WEAU) -- Police and sheriff's deputies have scheduled a public meeting to discuss the upcoming release of a convicted sex offender.
The Monroe County Sheriff's Office says a Community Notification meeting will be held on October 16 at 7 p.m. It's at the Tomah Police Department. About two days later, Brian Kuruzovich, 43, will be living in the area of Grayling Road, which is south of Tomah. Kuruzovich was convicted of First Degree Sexual Assault of a Child in July 1998. Two years later, he was committed as a sexually violent person. In June 2013, the courts granted Kuruzovich's supervised release.
The Wisconsin Department of Corrections will supervise Kuruzovich once he's released. He'll be monitored electronically, and will have to keep registering as a sex offender for the rest of his life. You can find a link to the sex offender registry below.
