Man accused of beating up Bloomer business owner appears in court


CHIPPEWA COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU)--One of two men charged with beating a Bloomer business owner was in court Tuesday.

A judge set bond at $1,000 cash for 21-year-old Nicolas Blisard of Bloomer. Blisard and 21-year-old Andre Demers, of Chippewa Falls, are accused of attacking Main Street Cafe owner, Donnie Stoik, in his driveway as Stoik returned home in late March.

Stoik says Blisard was an employee of his but was fired in December.

BLOOMER, Wis. (WEAU)--Two men have been charged in connection with the beating of a Bloomer business owner.

21-year-old Nicolas Blisard of Bloomer and 21-year-old Andre Demers of Chippewa Falls are charged with five counts, including recklessly endangering safety, battery and robbery.

They're accused of attacking Main Street Cafe owner, Donnie Stoik, in his driveway as Stoik returned home in late March. Stoik says Blisard was an employee of his but was fired in December.

The criminal complaint says Blisard kept changing his story, but says he told Demers that he could make some money if he came with him to attack Stoik.
