(WEAU) - People in Menomonie were able to take a closer look at the total $36 million being proposed in their two referendum questions.
The school district hosted the second and final community forum on the referendum Tuesday night at River Heights Elementary School.
The first question asks to borrow $25 million to make district wide improvements including safety and security updates, as well as improving ADA accessibility. The second question would ask for an additional $11 million to fully renovate Menomonie High School.
Superintendent Chris Stratton told us "we have three older buildings that need quite a lot of infrastructure change as well as work to be done in every single building in the district. So i see it as vital that we address the work being done and I think it's an important event for our community."
If both questions pass, if would cost homeowners $48 more a year on a $100,000 home.
