EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- Longtime Sacred Heart Priest, Monsignor Edmund Klimek, released a statement about his health Saturday. He has been hospitalized for a few weeks for serious complications following a broken arm and announced he will remain in the hospital.
“I have decided to forgo any additional treatment, and I have asked to be placed on comfort care," he said.
Monsignor Klimek expressed his gratitude to all who have sent him well wishes and said he will remain at Sacred Heart Hospital until he passes.
Klimeck has been with Sacred Heart for 45 years.
