SPOONER, Wis. (AP) -- The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources says a draw down on the Minong flowage will continue through the winter and anglers should expect lower water levels.
Washburn County officials are repairing a dam on the flowage. The DNR has ordered the county to maintain a draw down until the repairs are completed.
The DNR says the public should expect lower water levels throughout the winter. Anglers and other recreational users should be extra careful on the ice on the flowage due to the reduced water levels and flowing water.
The flowage is a 1,587-acre lake in Washburn County. According to the DNR's website, the flowage has a maximum depth of 21 feet.
