Brooklyn Center police say the 17-year-old girl and her 9-month-old daughter turned up in Hudson Wednesday morning. Brooklyn Center Police Cmdr. Brian Peters says they were traveling with the teen's father, who was arrested on a warrant accusing him of assaulting his daughter.

Peters says the teen and her baby appeared to be fine, but were taken to local hospital to be checked. Peters say the teen and her child disappeared from foster care Aug. 2.

BROOKLYN CENTER, Minn. (AP) -- Police say a suburban Twin Cities teenage mother missing along with her baby have been found in western Wisconsin.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension says the 17-year-old girl and her 9-month-old daughter turned up in Hudson Wednesday morning.

Authorities in Brooklyn Center say both the girl and baby are wards of the state and that the child was taken from foster care and could be in danger if she didn't receive her anti-seizure medication.

Police believed the two may have been with the teen's father, who has previously been charged with assaulting her. There was no immediate word on the conditions of the mother and child.
