EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (EAU CLAIRE COUNTY NEWS RELEASE) -- The state-funded ATV/UTV trails and routes in Eau Claire County will reopen Thursday, May 1 except the trail east of intersection 11(Black Creek Forest Road) in the Town of Fairchild that connects with Clark County trails. Trail damage along this corridor has created a serious safety concern with Koch Pipeline and will be closed until further notice. Clark County trails may be accessed at Eau Claire County intersection 12 via Horse Creek Road. Trails are still wet and vulnerable to damage from excessive acceleration and speed. Please ride responsibly to help reduce early season damage to the trails. Off trail riding is strictly prohibited.

The ATV trails and routes are closed seasonally from March 15 to May 1 to protect the soft ground from erosion during the springtime.
