Mother arrested in drug-related death of 13-month-old

MADISON, Wis. (WEAU) -- Janesville Police arrested the mother of a 1-year-old child who died of a drug overdose.

WMTV-TV in Madison reports that police questioned Tallie Strommen of Beloit on Tuesday. She admitted to giving her child, K’myah Strommen, part of a methadone pill. Officers had found the 13-month-old dead on December 26. An autopsy was done. Toxicology tests were finished on February 5. They show the child died from a methadone overdose.

Officers arrested Strommen. She's being held in the Rock County Jail.
