(WEAU) - A man was arrested for his 4th OWI after police say he led an officer on a high speed chase.

The Lake Hallie Police Department says an officer saw Chad Mondeau, 33, going 70 miles per hour in a 50 mile per hour zone. It says when the officer tried to pull over Mondeau, he took off, reaching speeds up to 100 miles per hour.

Police say he slid his motorcycle off the road trying to make a turn, and when the officer talked to Mondeau, he could smell alcohol on his breath.

Mondeau was arrested for his 4th OWI, fleeing an officer and speeding.
